Our field is finally loamy and our seeds are sown. My family celebrated by feasting on veal that my brother bagged in the morning and bread that mother made from grains the natives have traded us. It seems that this town has finally become home and living here will be safe if God is willing. Tomorrow is Sunday and the church is finally ready for service. Tomorrow's service will be in thanks for God's grace.

Hard Work
April 17, 1625
Today my father, my brothers, and my uncle began to work what will be our field for maze. We spent the whole day clearing rocks and stumps and just started to break apart the soil. It will be a long planting season, I just pray that God will allow New Lavender Town to prosper by cause of our devotion to his word.

Start of Our Town
April 14, 1625
We have officially finished the last cabin and every family is now safely settled under there own roofs. While clearing trees and construction was going on, different groups of men we sent out each day to explore our surroundings to see what there was around us. We have found a fresh stream, plenty of wild game, berry bushes nearby, and an indian tribe about half a mile away. We have met and traded with the natives. They taught us how to plant maze and we in turn gave them 2 of our finest horses.

One Week Later
March 30, 1625
After one week we have cleared enough trees that our clearing has become over 400 feet from the center in every direction. With the trees we have removed, we built our church and the reverend's home. Tomorrow we will continue to cut down trees so that we have enough wood to build 22 more houses.

Arrival
March 23, 1625
After 63 days on our ship, Introspect, my family and the 23 other puritan families escaping London's grip, have finally landed in the new world. According to our Captain, we have landed about 30 kilometers North of the colony of Salem. The sun seems to shine brighter, the sky, blue, not gray, even the grass is greener. We landed on a rocky beach that rises up to a clearing surrounded by a vast forest. This will be our new home, the home we will build up from the ground, the home that we will call, New Lavender Town.
