After 63 days on our ship, Introspect, my family and the 23 other puritan families escaping London's grip, have finally landed in the new world. According to our Captain, we have landed about 30 kilometers North of the colony of Salem. The sun seems to shine brighter, the sky, blue, not gray, even the grass is greener. We landed on a rocky beach that rises up to a clearing surrounded by a vast forest. This will be our new home, the home we will build up from the ground, the home that we will call, New Lavender Town.
I have been to this so called, New Lavender Town. Thy opinion is quite low of this filthy place. Two of my sons died to the deadly disease of small pox because of this discusting place.
ReplyDeleteNice to see you have made it safely! You have landed only a few kilometers above our colony, Massachusetts Bay. Maybe we can gather together during our feast coming up here soon. I would love to start a trading business between our colonies. It seems as though your soil would grow some very delicious foods and we have plenty of weavers and doctors here to provide you with warm blankets and medicine for the winter months.
